Players’ 36 years of panto
The OHS Jubilee Players are performing Robin Hood as their Panto this year.
The curtains have drawn on the Onehouse, Harleston and Shelland Jubilee Players’ new panto - Robin Hood. The group were formed on the day of the Queen’s silver jubilee 36 years ago and have put on a February panto almost every year since.
Their new show opened on Wednesday and runs until Sunday at Onehouse Community Centre on Forest Road, Onehouse.
Founding member Mike Robinson has been involved in every panto since the players began. He said: “It all started on Jubilee day, a group of us got together and decided to form the group. We got all the local talent to put on a show and it was such a success we had to accomodate another night. From that the Jubilee Players were born. The following year we put on our first panto - Aladdin.”
Tickets are available from Carole on 01449 736 025 - £7 for adults, £3 for children under 16. Performances start at 7.30pm.
