Plans approved for classrooms

A SCHOOL has been given the go-ahead by planners to replace six of its classrooms with some brand new ones.

Moreton Hall Prep School plans to demolish the old classrooms, built in the 1970s, and build six more in their place, with an innovative design to include a roof of photovoltaic panels.

This will allow the classrooms to produce their own electricity, with the possibility of selling any surplus generated back to the National Grid.

The build is due to go ahead this year during the summer holidays, at an estimated cost of around £40,000.
