Person dies in Kentford blaze

A person has died following a fire at an address in Kentford, police have confirmed.

Six crews have been at the scene in Gazeley Road after the roof of the property collapsed in the fire.

Fire broke out in the roof space and teams wearing breathing apparatus worked to try to prevent further spread of the fire.

The turntable ladder was brought in and police were called to direct traffic.Power lines also had to be isolated and part of the building is at risk of collapsing.
