Pancakes to pounds for our Beat It! Appeal
A church group has turned pancakes into pounds for the Bury Free Press Beat It! Appeal at a special event this afternoon.
Southgate Church saw more than 50 people turn up to its Pancake Party and raise more than £30 for our appeal in just two hours.
Alison Burgess, church family and community worker, said they had made more than 100 pancakes.
“All the seats were filled and it went brilliantly,” she said.
Rona French, seven, even gave a masterclass on how to toss a pancake - see the video above.
