A company specialising in the manufacture of medical treatment couches has seen a huge rise in demand for exports ar0und the World.

Plinth 2000 says it has seen its export sales increase four fold in the last six years and has recently negotiated deals to supply to Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The manufacturer based in Wetheringsett now distributed to more than 30 countries.

Niall Dyer, managing director at Plinth 2000, said: “British goods are highly prized for quality and reliability around the World and we have had an excellent response to our purpose-built equipment.”

The UK market for treatment couches alone is estimated to be worth £15 million a year.

“If you replicate that overseas there is clearly good export business to be won,” said Mr Dyer.
