Night-flying at RAF Lakenheath
Night-flying exercises at RAF Lakenheath will begin on October 29 and run to mid-December.
A spokesperson said that aircrews flying fighter jets from the base require day and night-time training, during all weather conditions, to remain prepared for operations.
The night-flying exercises allow crews to practice using night-vision equipment and procedures, which they cannot do during day-time hours.
Night-flying will continue until mid-December and will not be conducted later than 10pm.
