MP David Ruffley has backed the launch of a new business intiative designed to help new and existing small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

The NonExecutive Board was launched at Ravenwood Hall in Rougham earlier this month.

It will comprise of seven business leaders who will meet in venues in and around Bury St Edmunds to pool their knowledge and expertise.

Once a month they will meet to brainstorm issues that they bring to the table.

These could include issues over financing business growth, how to generate new products, finding and retaining good staff, and how to develop sales and marketing strategies.

It could also look at how to develop export markets, deal with poor performing teams, ways of coping with stress, planning for your succession or exit strategy.

Each of the board members will have a one to one follow up meeting with the eighth member of the board ‘facilitator’ Ralph Auchincloss.
