Mum and daughters ready for night out
When Sharna Frost, of Fornham St Martin, read about St Nicholas Hospice Care's Girls Night Out event in the Bury Free Press, she knew she wanted to take part.
Earlier this year Sharna's mum Julie Bushnell was diagnosed with skin cancer, so she persuaded her mother and older sister Mlayne to take part in the 11.2-mile moonlit walk around Bury St Edmunds in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, on September 18.
Julie, who was diagnosed with cancer in January as a result of over exposure to the sun and use of sunbeds, said, "I'm really looking forward to doing the walk with the girls. When a family goes through something like this, it makes you closer and stronger. We wanted to do something together and give something back".
To join Julie, Sharna and Mlayne and more than 300 other woman on the Girls Night Out, register at www.stnichlashospicecare.org.uk, email jenny.baskett@stnh.org.uk or call 01284 715583.
