Mildenhall homeowner chases burglar from kitchen

A HOMEOWNER was threatened with a weapon after chasing a burglar from his kitchen.

Police are appealing for information regarding an armed burglary in Mildenhall this morning (11).

A homeowner in Heathland Way was alerted to the burglary at 3am by the sound of his dogs barking, he confronted the burglar in his kitchen causing him to grab a set of house keys and run off.

He pursued the burglar until he turned and confronted him with a weapon pulled from his back pocket.

The burglar then made off with the keys to his home.

The offender is described as white, 6ft 1in, aged 26-30 years. He wore a dark round neck t shirt and dark cargo trousers with pockets on each knee.

Police have reminded people to ensure their homes are secure at all times and have asked anyone with information to contact DC Mark Robinson on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
