Michelle Obama arrives in Mildenhall

MICHELLE Obama was greeted by cheers and the waving of American flags as she arrived at RAF Mildenhall yesterday.

America’s First Lady ended a four-day visit to the UK, during which she watched the opening ceremony of London 2012 and met US athletes, by greeting American families based at RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath.

Mrs Obama jogged into a hanger at the base at 6pm and spent more than half an hour greeting each of the 150 assembled people individually, posing for photos and receiving hand drawn pictures.
