There were some shocked faces at the Six Bells in Felsham as Harry Judd and his McFly bandmates celebrated his stag-do.

Landlady Janet Stenson said she had been sworn to secrecy when one of Harry’s friends rang up to organise the evening.

“I got a phone call eight weeks ago from one of their mates who said they were due to stay at Old Buckenham Hall where Harry went to school.

“They were back for the weekend, and the friends said they wanted to come to the pub for a few drinks, play pool, darts and have bit of a sing song on the karaoke.

“There were 27 of them in total. They were here last Friday (19) and they pretty much took over the pub.

“We were still open to our locals but some of them looked quite shocked when Harry and the others walked in.

“Word soon got our and we got a few kids arrive later on – some of the girls from the village who wanted to meet them.

“I also had a star struck daughter, Sorcha who is 18 and works behind the bar.

“She was chatting with them. They were really nice and so down to earth.”

Harry, who won Strictly Come Dancing last year, was partying with fellow contestant former footballer Robbie Savage, and bandmate Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.

Harry is due to marry Izzy Johnston and has just been named sexiest man in the Attitude Awards.

“We have our own local celebrity in Bill Wyman but he wasn’t up here Friday night,” said Janet who runs the pub with partner Kevin Forsythe.

“The boys were absolutely brilliant. They was just singing with some of the kids and having their photos taken.”

Sorcha said: “I was working and it was really busy but I did get to speak to them.

“They were really nice – but then I got interupted and had to go sort out somebody’s bill.”
