Warren Services could double the size of its workforce in Thetford over the next five years after purchasing a nearby site.
The firm on the Fison Way Industrial Estate has secured a HSBC loan to buy the former Uniglaze site from administrators.
Chairman of Warren Services Richard Bridgman said the move could enable his plans for an apprentice school in the town.
“We have had a flat year but we are looking positively ahead and we are looking to expand into the energy sector,” Mr Bridgman said.
“It is a 50,000sqft site just 200 yards away– our main site at the moment is 30,000.

“We have got two other factory sites that we are renting on the same estate. We will close these and bring the work into the new factory.”
He hopes to double his workforce – currently at 90 including 11 apprentices – over the next five years, while the new building may house an apprentice school.
“The plan is to train 50 apprentices a year including 20 for us, across a range of disciplines,” said Mr Bridgman who is in talks about the move with the town’s schools.
