Man threw pan of potatoes

A carer who threw a saucepan of potatoes at a wall has been given a conditional discharge.

Andrew James Frost, of Cherry Court, Red Lodge, pleaded guilty to criminal damage when he appeared in Bury St Edmunds Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Frost. 34, threw the pan on Valentine's Day, causing a six inch hole, with damage of an unknown value.

He told magistrates that he had been his wife's carer for three years and has been on prescribed drugs for two years for a condition he did not name.

He said: "I know that if my kids were there they could've got in the way and I am sorry.

"I know that my marriage is now over and I want to do this for the kids. It's my kids lives that I'm worried about more than anything. I do apologise for the way I have been."

He said he was currently unemployed and living with his parents.

Frost was given a conditional discharge and ordered him to pay 85 costs.
