Man in hospital after three car crash near Mundford
AN ELDERLY man was taken to hospital today in a critical condition after being involved in a three car collision half a mile from the A134 roundabout.
The accident, involving an Aldi A4, a Nissan Prairia and a Nissan Sentra, happened on the A1065 at Mundford at around 7am.
Fire crews from Methwold and Brandon attended the scene of the crash, where they worked to release two people who were trapped inside vehicles.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a man of around 70-years-old was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, in a critical condition with head, leg and chest injuries.
The A1065 from the Mundford roundabout to Brandon was closed from around 7.20am to 11am.
