Man flashed dog walker in Lavenham
Police notice along the Lavenham walk where a man has been seen exposing himself
A parish council chairman is warning people not to walk in secluded areas on their own after a man exposed himself to a dog walker.
A man wearing only a woolen hat, walking boots and a jacket, flashed himself at a woman in broad daylight near woods on the old railway line on Park Road in Lavenham.
The incident happened on October 4 between 12.10pm and 12.40pm.
Parish council chairman Roy Whitworth said: “It makes people in the village wary about walking around in isolated areas.
“Up till now everybody felt quite safe.”
Police described the man as white, about 6ft tall, of medium build with scruffy, unkempt hair and a long dark jacket and walking boots. He was between 30-40 years old.
The parish council has put up signs advising people to be vigiliant.
