Man charged with Post Office and Coop robberies in Suffolk and Norfolk

A man is due before magistrates this morning charged in connection with three robberies at stores in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Daniel Bage aged 29 years of no fixed abode has been charged with three counts of robbery and one of dangerous driving.

One of the robberies he is alleged to have been involved in was the early morning raid at a Post Office in Laxfield on September 5.

A police car was rammed by what was believed to be the get away vehicle, which was then found abandoned in Rushbrooke.

The other two charges relate to robberies at the Co-op store in Church Street, Sheringham, Norfolk on August 8 and at The Co-op store on the main road in Clenchwarton, Norfolk, on August 22.

Bage is due to appear before magistrates in Great Yarmouth.

A 40 year old woman from Northampton who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robberies in Norfolk and Suffolk and fraud by false representation has been released on police bail and is due to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on November 14.
