Little Acorns Baby and Toddler group in Barrow celebrates its second birthday.

Barrow’s Little Acorns Baby and Toddler Group has grown from small beginnings.

When villager Angela Rift founded it only three children went along to the village hall, but when they celebrated their second birthday on Monday there were 36 youngsters there for games, face painting and a big birthday cake.

Volunteer Melissa Jordan said: “There used to be a group years ago but as children grew up, mothers left and it stopped, so there was a void.”
