Leading homebuilder is optimistic for 2013
Edward Parker Bennett Homes
A leading housebuilder has said 2013 could be a year to be optimistic amid construction sector surveys which says the industry is turning the corner.
Nowton based Bennett Homes enjoyed a good year in 2012 with sales up 10 per cent and the title of House Builder of the Year from the National Federation of Builders.
Managing director Edward Parker said: “2013 has started well, with more reservations than last year and more forward sales for completion during the year.
“I am also hopeful that mortgage availability – which continues to be a challenge – will improve slowly during the year.”
“Even in challenging times, there is no doubt that buyers still appreciate the formula we offer – high quality contemporary homes, traditionally built and located in attractive market towns with good local amenities.
“We have also seen a strong demand for bungalows among our active retiree customers and look forward to more first time buyers returning to the market as the mortgage situation improves.”
