Jamie prepares for the full monty

A Red Lodge man is steeling himself for stripping on stage after winning a role in The Full Monty, at the Ipswich Regent next month.

Website developer Jamie Maguire, second from left, and his fellow leading men will be going fully nude on stage, but Jamie is counting on clever technical trickery to maintain his modesty.

"Hopefully, the audience shouldn't see 'it'," he said. "When we do the strip at the end, as we strike our last pose there is a big lighting rig which is supposed to flash up with bright lights, while we go into darkness."

Jamie was asked to audition for the show after appearing in a principal role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, at the Theatre Royal, in Bury, in November.

To buy tickets for the show (April 14-17), call 01473 433100 or go to www.ipswichregent.com
