Inquest: Tributes to ‘loving and devoted’ Carole
IN heartfelt tributes, Carole Bullett was described as ‘first and foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother’.
A statement from her husband Alan, read by the coroner Dr Peter Dean during the hearing on Monday, said the 57-year-old was ‘devoted to family and close friends and would always be available when needed’.
While raising their family she worked lunch times as a dinner lady at St Benedict’s Catholic School and Howard Primary. She also worked evenings at Vintens.
St Benedict’s headteacher Hugh O’Neill said he remembered her as ‘calm, unflappable and a lovely person to work with’.
For the last 10 years she worked at the Grosvenor facilities at the Wedgwood Unit at West Suffolk Hospital as a support worker.
Elaine Day, of the Grosvenor team, said Mrs Bullett was a ‘kind and caring person who could be relied upon to do her work to the highest standard’.
She was also an active member of the West Suffolk Voluntary Association for the Blind and could regularly be found shaking a collection tin in Bury St Edmunds town centre.
