Hundreds celebrate harvest festival

Suffolk Harvest Festival at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral Pictured: The reipients of Long Service bring the harvest loaf and wheat to the bishop

Representatives from the farming community flocked to St Edmundsbury Cathedral to officially recognise the harvest festival.

About 400 people attended the Sunday service of praise and thanskgiving, where gifts representing various areas of agricultural life were symbolically presented.

Awards to recognise long service in the farming industry were presented by the Suffolk Agricultural Association.
