Human bones found in Stowmarket
WORKMEN have discovered human bones at a building site on Station Road in Stowmarket.
Police were called to the scene at 1.55pm where two human leg bones had been found.
Officers set up a cordon and have taken the bones away to be tested.
A Police Spokesman said however that it was expected the tests would confirm the bones were historic, as the site of the discovery neighbours an old church yard.
He said: “Workmen called us because two human leg bones had been found.
“We have been down and set up a cordon.
“The bones are human but are very, very old.
“It is expected the test results will say they are historic.”
