How's that for a win?
A team of young Mildenhall cricketers can call themselves the best in the county after lifting the Suffolk Cup.
The Mildenhall Under 15s played away to Woolpit in the cup final on Monday night and beat their rivals with a scoreline of Mildenhall 103-0 to Woolpit's 102-6.
Kevin Boardman, youth team coach at Mildenhall Cricket Club, said it was a 'fantastic' performance.
"I'm really pleased they won the Suffolk Cup. It was the first time we'd beaten Woolpit at that age. The performance was one of the best I've ever seen at a Suffolk Cup final," he said.
Team captain Marcus Baird, 15, who took two wickets for 11 and scored 50 runs during the match, was presented with the trophy by umpire John Goldsmith.
The Under 15s play the Norfolk champions in a week's time in the next round of the national competition.
Youngsters from Mildenhall Cricket Club have won the Suffolk Cup about 30 times, and have reached the national finals on three occasions.
