Highways contract company named

A company has been selected to maintain Suffolk’s highways.

Balfour Beatty Living Places is Suffolk County Council’s preferred bidder for the contract, which starts in April.

They will also be responsible for winter gritting, street lighting, traffic signals and bridge works throughout the county.

The authority’s cabinet will authorise the move on December 11.
