Green fingered pupils at St Edmundsbury Primary are developing an allotment as part of a shared project with their partner school in Rwanda.
The children helped to clear the site, worked out a plan, ordered some raised beds and are deciding which plants to use.
They are also building a greenhouse from empty two litre bottles. Pupils will share their experiences with the G.S. Gisakura School, which has already set up an allotment with the help of St Edmundsbury staff.
In a separate move, the Bury school is developing a Forest Area for bug hunting, science work and adventure play.
