Green light for new homes for rent

Forest Heath District Council has given the green light for a major new development in the centre of Mildenhall.

Permission has been granted to demolish 17 existing bungalows in Fleming Avenue and Hereward Avenue, and replace them with 27 affordable homes for rent.

The new housing, proposed by Kings' Forest Housing, will comprise ten two-bedroom houses, nine three-bedroom houses and eight two-bedroom bungalows, with parking behind each property where possible.

The scheme is due to be built by December 2010.
