Green halls and homes go on show

Tours of energy efficient homes and projects in Suffolk are to take place from Thursday to Sunday.

The Suffolk Green Buildings Network will be holding the tours which include a 19th Century flint knapped cottage near Bury St Edmunds, which has been fitted with a retrofit ground source heat pump which reduces heating bills.

The 1950s village hall at Great Barton which has a similar heating system and is also fitted with photo voltaic panels to reduce its carbon footprint is among the other 11 buildings being showcased.
