Grants offer to Suffolk groups

AN independent grants body is offering cash to organisations to help child welfare.

The Suffolk Foundation is also inviting applications for grants to strengthen community groups.

The foundation’s Healthy Ambitions Fund aims to support projects to do with the welfare of children aged under seven.

It has grants of up to £500 for one-off projects and up to £5,000 for groups and social enterprises for bigger projects.

It says the fund’s key objectives are to give every child the best start and to help children, young people and adults to ‘maximise their capabilities and have control over their lives’.

It aims to support development of maternity services, parenting programmes, childcare and early years education.

The closing date for applications for the Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Fund is September 19.

The foundation’s Improve and Prove Fund is intended to support community organisations and social enterprises with building their capacity.

A grant of up to £5,000 is available to help the organisations become more robust and less reliant on grant funding.
