Gift shop a hit with airmen
AN ON-LINE gift and craft business set up in Feltwell is proving a hit with American servicemen and women. Bon Ami Cottage Crafts, set up by Melanie Brooks, opened its first shop Shabby ‘n’ Chic at The Sanctuary, a former cinema which is now home to five businesses.
“The response from locals as well as American Air Force personnel and their families has been terrific,” said Melanie. “We’ve even developed our own tailored range of gifts bearing the Stars and Strips insignia.”
As well as novelty signs and crafts made by herself and other local crafts people, the shop also sells ‘Shabby Chic’ furniture crafted by her husband Keith.
