TICKETS are on sale for the first Bury Free Press Business Awards ceremony, which takes place on September 21.

Votes for the independent retailer of the year award, which is being sponsored by the Bury Free Press, are now closed.

There were 16 nominations in total: Auntie Pam’s Sweet Shop; Beautiful Beers; Bliss Cards; Butterworths; Buy the Light; Camps; Cavern4; Croasdales Chemists; Curry’s Service Centre; Denny Bros Supplies; Gastrono-me; Odyssey; Raspberry Rascals; Runability; The Coffee House and The Stamp Hut.

The winner, as chosen by our readers, will be announed on the night alongside the winners of the various other awards: business of the year; business person of the year; the people development award; contribution to the community award; employee of the year; the customer care award; the business innovation award; best new start up award; the green/ environmental award and the award of international trade.

The event at The Apex will be hosted by TV celebrity Paul Ross.

Tickets for the black tie event cost £55 and will include a drinks reception and dinner.

They are available to buy from the Bury Free Press reception in Kings Road, Bury St Edmunds.
