Flashing back through the decades
Groovy costumes and funky music were on the agenda at a successful charity night in Bury St Edmunds.
Revellers packed a 1970s-themed gig held in memory of a dedicated charity fund-raiser on Saturday.
The Glambusters gig night raised more than 1,380 for St Nicholas Hospice Care, which cared for Diane Manning, 52, who died of bile duct cancer in October 2007.
The event was organised by her husband, Brian, and was supported by a packed house of fancy dress-clad ticket-holders at Pot Black, in Eastgate Street, where they enjoyed the gig and a prize draw - with a top prize of a 32in television.
The gig was Brian's third fund-raiser for St Nicholas Hospice Care in his wife's memory, with this one selling out in advance and raising more than the previous two.
"It just goes to show that if you do something different, people will support it," said Brian.
"It was packed - you couldn't have got any more people in there.
"Diane would have loved the amount of cash we raised for the hospice.
"It was a brilliant night."
Dedicated fund-raiser Mrs Manning continued organising charity events with her husband even after she fell ill, including running the Race for Life in 2007.
