Firm gets council nod
A MAJOR property firm has been given the job of thrashing out the details of Thetford’s 5,000 home expansion.
Property advisers, DTZ, was picked by Breckland Council to help it assess the Thetford Urban Extension Plan proposed for the north of the town.
The council will pay DTZ more than £40,000 for its expertise, which will include support in negotiating lucrative Section 106 agreements for the project.
DTZ was chosen ahead of GVA and Capita Symonds on May 29 after the council decided it offered the best value for money.
In documents supporting the decision, David Spencer, deputy planning manager, states that the application is the biggest it has dealt with.
