Fire at Bury Town football ground

Firefighhters were called to the Bury Town Football Club ground at Ram Meadow yesterday (12) afternoon after a groundsman’s shed caught fire.

Club chairman Russell Ward said a lawn mower and other equipment had been damaged.

Two crews from Bury St Edmunds were called to the fire at around 4.35pm.

Meanwhile tonight’s friendly at Newmarket has been called off.
