THETFORD Festival has begun with a bang, according to organisers.
An explosion of food, art, music and performance began on Saturday and is set to continue until September 9.
Corinne Fulford, from the Thetford Tourism and Heritage Partnership, said visitor numbers had been strong.
“It’s going very well – the buzz has been fantastic,” she said.
“Each and every event, no matter what it is, people are being drawn in.”

Saturday’s highlights included the Jones’s Van Day at the Dad’s Army Museum, the opening of the Thetford Academy Art Exhibition at the Guildhall and open air theatre from the Thetford Players at Kings House Gardens.
The winners of the Colourful Camel competition were also put on show at spots across the town.
This week will see music from singer Gary Winter at the Carnegie Room tomorrow night and a GI Day on Tuesday at the Dad’s Army Museum.
