Festival of beer and brewing
THE Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket is hosting its 16th annual beer festival.
The event, running from June 28 to July 1, will give visitors the chance to sample more than 60 local real ales and ciders. Live music will entertain the crowds on all three days of the festival.
Museum director Tony Butler said: “Stowmarket has a long history of brewing.
“There are former hop beds on the museum site near to the Rattleston River.
“Although there is no longer a brewery in the town, companies like Muntons have helped the town retain its malting traditions.”
Admission is £2.50 to the beer festival only or is included with the Museum price of admission.
