Facilities could be brought under one roof to save money
Services in Mildenhall could be amalgamated in a bid to save money as budgets are squeezed tighter.
The Mildenhall Facilities Project will seek to bring many of the town’s services and facilities including the district council, county council, and police under one roof in order to share costs.
James Waters, leader of Forest Heath District Council, said: “Everyone’s got funding gaps if we can get them all in one centre people can work better, save time, money and resources.”
Forest Heath District Council cabinet approved the formation of a working group to pursue the project on Tuesday.
