A campaign to boost the level of export business has been launched by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

The year long Exporting is Good for Suffolk campaign, has been backed by Minister for Trade and Investment, Lord Stephen Green, and Suffolk County Council.

The chamber said those who export have higher levels of production than firms who do not.

“It is crucial that we promote our firms’ good and services and support their efforts to export to overseas markets,” said chamber chief executive John Dugmore.

The campaign will feature development events and guest speakers.

Suffolk County Council chief executive Deborah Cadman OBE said that the combination of Suffolk’s ‘World leading products’ and its ‘international trading gateway’ through its ports meant firms have a great chance to take advantage of the export market.
