Evening of Mother’s Day poetry, music and drama at cathedral in Bury St Edmunds this Friday evening
St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds will be hosting an evening of poetry, music and drama around the theme of Our Mother, on Friday (8).
Winners from a poetry competition, many from schools, will read their poems at the free event which starts at 6.45pm.
Cathedral arts coordinator Sharron Stowe said: “We have been overwhelmed with the creativity of people entering this competition.
“The theme was chosen to link with the fact that it is Mothering Sunday on Sunday (10) and this theme seems to have really sparked the imagination.”
