A MAN who rescued a puppy from a wheelie bin has been allowed to become his full time owner.

Jason Bloomfield, 40, of Creeting Mills, discovered Dusty the dog apparently dumped in a roadside bin on the A14 in March.

But after a tense month of waiting, Jason, a member of Mid Suffolk District Council’s A14 litter crew, has finally got the go ahead to keep his new best friend.

Jason said: “It’s brilliant news, it has been a long wait really.

“I rang the council and they said he can stay with me.

“He is such a lovely little old boy - life just wouldn’t be the same without him.

“Dusty is doing really well now - he has been spoilt rotten to be honest but I think he deserves to be.

“It’s great - he loves playing in the garden with his ball all day and gets on really well with my mum’s dog. It’s great news he can stay with me.”
