Duo hurt in night attack

Two men were assaulted in the street in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday night.

The attack happened in Westbury Avenue between 11 and 11.30pm when the victims, who were in the street, were shouted at by a group of men, who approached from a garden.

One of the group attacked one of the victims before they managed to run away. However, the group chased the men and they were attacked again, before they finally escaped and hid. They were bruised and grazed in the attack.

The first attacker is described as white, in his late teens, 5ft 9ins and with short hair. He was wearing a grey jumper and tracksuit bottoms.

There are no descriptions of the other men.
