Crews tackle stubble field fire.

FIRE crews are battling a stubble field fire in Stanton.

The first crew was in attendance at 2.26pm and requested the attendance of a Uni Mog, which was sent from Bury.

They are using hose reels and beaters to tackle the fire, at the rear of Upthorpe Road, from the perimeter and allowing it to burn until it reaches a natural break.
