Council’s joint staff team

THE new team of shared management for Babergh and Mid Suffolk district councils has been announced.

Chief executive is Charlie Adan, who was appointed last May and will be responsible for delivering key services for local communities. Mike Evans is strategic director people, responsible for community development and housing, and Lindsay Barker is strategic director place, for waste services, economic development, planning and building control.

Internal appointments were made for strategic director corporate, which was filled by Andrew Hunkin, while the position of interim transformation director has been filled by Mike Hammond.

The two councils began integrating staffing structures last year and it is expected to save around £1.5million in the current year.
