Claire's gift to Legion is a life-saver

People living in Stowmarket have an extra life saver thanks to the efforts of an imaginative fund-raiser.

Claire Haslam-Wise and friends created a 1940s calendar in aid of the Royal British Legion and last year raising 6,000. Part of this money has purchased a defibrillator for Stowmarket Royal British Legion.

Claire, 27, of Lancaster Avenue, Bury St Edmunds, is now selling wristbands for the charity and is also aiming to do a skydive on October 16 - and wants people to join her.

She said: "The RBL is a charity I strongly believe in and does so much for people and their families."
