Claire’s pulled pork pizza makes it to final three
Claire Sanders, from Stowmarket, got to the last three in a competition to design Domino's People's Pizza.
A Stowmarket mother has narrowly missed out on the prize of designing Domino’s next big pizza.
Claire Sanders, 36, appeared on ITV’s This Morning last Thursday in the final three of the pizza chain’s national competition. Her recipe, Annabelle’s BBQ Pulled Pork Pizza – named after her 13-month old daughter – includes slow cooked pulled pork, barbecue sauce and fresh coleslaw.
Sackfuls of entries were whittled down to just three by a panel of experts including TV chef Phil Vickery, star of The Only Way is Essex Mario Falcone and Domino’s product development chef Chris Denoven. But Claire’s delicious recipe was beaten to the prize by an Argentinian chicken pizza.
She said: “This competition just caught my eye – I love to cook, love watching cookery shows, and most of all love eating food. It was fabulous making it through to the last three.”
