FIVE chefs from three leading Suffolk restaurants will show-case their culinary skills at a cookery demonstration to raise vital funds for a charity.
Between 10 to 15 different recipes will be whipped up at the ‘lively’ food theatre-style event at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, on October 22 in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Bosses at the hospice hope to raise £15,000 to pay for a part-time nursing assistant for a year.
It will feature chefs from Maison Bleue, in Bury, The Great House, in Lavenham and the Mariners Waterside, in Ipswich, which are all owed by Regis Crépy.
The restaurateur, who is among the five taking part, said: “There will be more than one person cooking at the same time. It will be quite lively, fun and we will interact with people in the audience.”
Mr Crépy wanted to hold the event after witnessing the good work of the hospice, which cared for one of his friends. He said: “I was extremely impressed by the work done by the people there and it’s a very important charity.” The event starts at 7pm and tickets are £20 or £40 for VIP passes for a chance to be in on the action.
