Charity shirts get Crown approval
IF you are buying Queen’s Diamond Jubilee T-shirts and bags, you can support a mental health charity.
The Bury St Edmunds based Workwise charity, which runs services across the county to support those with mental health issues, has been granted Crown Copyright permission to produce shirts, bags and glassware bearing the official Jubilee logo.
Chief executive Val Beresford said: “We were thrilled when we were given permission to use the official logo.”
It is inviting schools to buy T-shirts for pupils and Val said: “There will be a small charge for the T-shirts but all the money will go directly to the charity to help us to continue to support a range of people across Suffolk, including those with mental health issues, from deprived backgrounds and some of the county’s most troubled families.”
All the merchandise is being made by Workwise clients at the charity’s vocational workshops and the project is back by Suffolk county councillors Mark Ereira, Stefan Oliver and Craig Dearden-Phillips through their locality budgets.
The bags are £3.50 and T-shirts are £5.99 for adults and £4.99 for children, or £4 each if you order more than 100.
The entire range is on sale from the Workwise shop Cavern 4 in Whiting Street, Bury St Edmunds, and online at http://workwise.org.uk/shop
