Cat stolen from van in Mildenhall

Police are appealing for information after an exhaust and catalytic converter were stolen from a van in Chiswick Avenue, Mildenhall.

Between 5pm last Friday d 4.30pm on Tuesday, the exhaust and catalytic convertor (cat) were stolen from the Mercedes Sprinter van while it was parked in the yard of a business premises.

Cat thefts are common because the units, which clean exhaust gases, contain precious metals. Vans and 4x4s are vulnerable because it is easier to get under them.
