CARE UK unveiled its plans for a new care home in Mildenhall on Wednesday.

The care home is proposed to be built on the site of Great Heath Primary School, which will be left vacant in October.

Care UK displayed plans for a 60-bed care home over two storeys, with a separate wellbeing centre for the local community.

All rooms will be en-suite and the home will include amenities such as a hair salon, treatment room and coffee shop.

A spokesperson for Care UK said that the feedback it received was really positive in terms of jobs, facilities and the need of the community.

Care UK will decide whether to preceded after the announcement of the provider of care is made in October.
