Care home in Fornham St Martin told it must improve by inspector
A residential home in Fornham St Martin has appointed a new home manager after it was told to improve by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
When the commission inspected Fornham House Residential Home it found five areas where action was needed, respecting and involving the people who use the service, the care and welfare of those using the service, staffing levels, assessing and monitoring the quality of the service and record keeping.
Within their evaluation CQC inspectors reported, ‘we inspected six care plans. These were not person centred and had been poorly evaluated so we could not be assured people’s needs were fully met’.
Fornham House Residential Home, which can accommodate up to 73 people, is run by Heath Care Homes Group Ltd.
A spokesperson for the residential home said: “Our upper most importance is to provide the highest levels of care and support to adults that live in our homes. Following the CQC inspection in November, a new home Manager has been appointed and a detailed action plan has been submitted to the CQC to demonstrate the steps we are taking to ensure full compliance.”
