Care assistant receives prize

A CARE assistant from Thetford has scooped a top gong from the region’s ambulance service awards.

Alison Morton picked up the Patient Transport Services award at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust awards last Friday.

Colleagues praised her ‘bubbly personality’ and friendly nature as she picked up the prize – one of three taken by Norfolk staff.

She said: “Words just can’t describe how I feel, I’m very honoured because I really love my job.”
